Warranty-Backed Peace of Mind

2 year / 24,000 Mile Parts & Labor Warranty

What Our Warranty Covers

Coverage Period

Our warranty is valid for 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date of the original repair. This means for two full years after we service your vehicle or until you’ve driven an additional 24,000 miles you’re protected.

Parts & Labor

Both the parts and the labor from your repair are covered. If a part we installed fails due to a defect or if our workmanship on the repair was not up to standard, we will replace the part and perform the necessary labor at no cost to you. You won’t pay again for a repair that should have been done right the first time.

Qualifying Repairs

This warranty applies only to work performed by our technicians and to parts we procured and installed as part of your service. In other words, if we fixed it and we supplied the part, that repair is under warranty. We guarantee our own work and it’s that simple.

This warranty is a limited warranty covering the specific repairs and components we worked on. It’s our way of saying we have full confidence in the quality of those parts and our team’s expertise.

Warranty Exclusions & Limitations

While our warranty is comprehensive, there are certain limits and exclusions to be aware of. We believe in being upfront and clear about these terms. By clarifying these exclusions, we seek to ensure our warranty is transparent and fair for everyone. There are no surprise exceptions hidden in fine print. We’re upfront about what is and isn’t included, in line with our value of Trust Through Transparency

Non-Company Parts or Work

We cannot warranty parts supplied by the customer or any repairs/services performed by other shops or individuals. Our warranty covers only the parts we purchase and install, and the work our team performs. (If you bring your own part or have someone else work on the car after us, those items won’t be covered under our warranty.)

Accidental Damage

Any damage or failures caused by accidents, collisions, or external events after the vehicle leaves our shop are not covered. For example, if a part we installed fails because your vehicle was later in an accident or impacted by road debris, that falls outside our warranty coverage.

Warranty Service Location

All warranty repairs must be performed by our technicians at a Bavarian Auto Repair facility for the coverage to apply. We cannot reimburse or cover warranty work done at any other shop. In other words, you’ll need to bring the vehicle back to us for warranty service, which is how we ensure it’s fixed correctly at no cost to you.

Parts Warranty Coverage

Our warranty on parts matches the manufacturer’s warranty for each part. For most new OEM parts, that means a 2-year/24,000-mile coverage (which aligns with our standard). However, aftermarket parts typically carry a shorter warranty from their manufacturers (around 6 months or 6,000 miles). If, at your request, we install a used part or one you provided, that part is usually “as is” with no warranty coverage. While we stand behind our workmanship, we can’t extend coverage beyond the manufacturer’s terms.

Misuse or Abuse

Misuse of the vehicle or abuse can void the warranty. This includes using the vehicle in ways beyond normal everyday driving, such as racing or off-road use (unless the vehicle is designed for it), or otherwise putting extreme stress on components. We design our repairs to handle normal, non-commercial use; failures caused by reckless driving or neglect are not warrantied.

Lack of Maintenance

Our warranty won’t cover problems that arise from neglecting required maintenance or care. For instance, if an issue occurs because of never changing the oil, running the car out of coolant, or ignoring other critical maintenance and warning signs, those resulting damages are not covered. Customers are responsible for following recommended maintenance schedules to keep the vehicle in good condition.

Normal Wear & Tear

We do not cover normal wear-and-tear on consumable items. Some parts (like brake pads, tires, filters, fluids, belts, etc.) wear out naturally over time and with mileage. Such type of gradual wear isn’t considered a “defect” and falls outside this warranty. Our warranty protects you against premature failure or defects in the parts we replaced, not the normal consumption of items during their expected lifespan. (That said, if a new part we installed wears out far earlier than it should due to a defect, that would be covered. We simply can’t promise to cover things wearing out at the end of their normal life.)

Incidental or Consequential Damages

Our warranty does not cover incidental costs or secondary damages beyond the defective part and its installation. This means things like towing fees, rental car charges, lodging, lost time or wages, or damage to other components that result from a part failure are not covered. Our liability is limited to repairing or replacing the original part that we installed (or correcting the workmanship) under warranty. We will get you back on the road with the failed component fixed, but we won’t be able to reimburse miscellaneous expenses or unrelated repairs.

Original Owner Only

Our warranty coverage extends only to you, the original customer, and the specific vehicle we serviced. It is non-transferable to any new owner. (If you sell your car, the new owner would not be covered under our warranty for the past repairs.)

How to Obtain Warranty Service

We strive to make any warranty service easy and hassle-free. If you ever have an issue with a repair we performed, here’s how to get coverage: Please Note: To ensure coverage, do not attempt to fix the issue yourself or have another garage fix it without contacting us. Unauthorized repairs on a covered part could jeopardize your warranty. It’s always best to let us handle it or approve the solution beforehand. This way, we can properly document the issue and make sure it’s fully covered. We’re here to facilitate the repair process for you, so just give us a call and we’ll guide you from there.

Contact Us First

As soon as you suspect there’s a problem with a part we replaced or work we did, get in touch with us. Give our shop a call or send an email explaining the issue. We’ll prioritize your concern because warranty-related fixes are urgent to us. We want to get you safely back on the road quickly.

Provide Repair Details

To help us locate your original repair record, please provide any relevant info such as your invoice number, the date of the original service, or even just your name and the vehicle make/model. Don’t worry if you can’t find your receipt, because we keep detailed service records on file for every customer. Being a community-focused company, we likely remember you and your vehicle, and we can pull up the history in our system easily by your name or car. Verifying your coverage is straightforward and you won’t be put through any hassle. We know what work was done, when it was done, and the mileage at the time, because we document everything professionally.

Arrange Repairs (Anywhere You Are)

We will confirm if the issue falls under our warranty and then schedule a time for you to bring the vehicle into one of our repair facilities as soon as possible. All warranty work will be handled by our team at a Bavarian Auto Repair location (this is required for the warranty to apply). If you’ve moved or are traveling far from our area, please contact us to discuss the situation and we’ll do everything we can to help get the issue resolved under warranty. Our goal is to honor our warranty and make things right, so we’ll work with you on a plan to address the problem.

Prompt, No-Cost Service

Once arrangements are made, simply bring the car in (or go to the referred partner shop if that’s the case). Our team will address the problem promptly. You will *not be charged for any covered warranty repairs.  When it’s our responsibility, we take care of it, parts and labor. We aim for a quick turnaround on warranty claims, treating them with top priority. We appreciate your patience and will communicate transparently about the fix.

Our Commitment to Quality and Trust

Above all, our warranty is about standing behind our work and taking care of our customers. We’re a local, community-rooted company, which means we treat our customers like neighbors. That means with honesty, respect, and personal care. This 24-month/24,000-mile warranty is a reflection of how seriously we take our craftsmanship and professionalism. We see auto repair as a craft, and we stand by the quality of our workmanship on every job. Our technicians are highly trained and meticulous, and we use quality parts, so we’re confident in offering this level of coverage. It’s our pledge of excellence to you. You’ll also find that we practice total transparency in our service. We explain repairs in plain language and show you evidence of what’s going on with your car. Extending a strong warranty is part of that transparency. There’s no fine print hidden, just a straightforward promise that if our repair doesn’t hold up, we will fix it. It’s that simple. We openly share these warranty terms up front because we never want you to have any uncertainty about how we’ll take care of you. In short, we value your trust and the investment you make in your vehicle. Our goal is to fix your vehicle right the first time, every time. But if something ever goes wrong with a repair, we’re here to make it right without hesitation. This warranty is our way of saying we take responsibility for our work and that your satisfaction is paramount. Thank you for choosing Bavarian Auto Repair. We take pride in our work and in serving you. If you have any questions about this warranty or any other policy, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’re always here to help. Together, we’ll keep your vehicle running reliably for the long haul, backed every mile by our 2-year/24,000-mile warranty. Enjoy the road ahead with confidence, knowing we’ve got you covered!

Your Warranty Questions Answered

Yes. Our 24-month/24,000-mile warranty covers both the parts and the labor for any repair we performed. In other words, if we replaced a part and our team installed it, that entire repair is under warranty. This coverage lasts for 24 months or 24,000 miles from the date of the original repair (whichever comes first). If a part we installed turns out to be defective or our workmanship wasn’t up to par, we’ll replace the part and fix the issue at no cost to you, because you won’t have to pay twice for the same repair.

We stand behind any part we supply and install, whether it’s an OEM (factory) part or a high-quality aftermarket part. Those are fully covered under our warranty. However, if you provide your own part or ask us to install a used/third-party part, that part would not be covered by our warranty. Our warranty only applies to parts we purchase and install with our service, because we trust the quality and fit of those components. (For more details on parts sourcing, see our policies page.)

Our warranty is generally considered a promise to the original customer, so it doesn’t automatically transfer to a new owner if you sell the vehicle. In most cases, the coverage stays with the person who paid for the repair, not the car itself. However, we always aim to do the right thing and if you sell your car and the new owner has an issue with a repair we did (within the warranty period), we encourage them to contact us. We stand behind our work regardless of who owns the vehicle, and we’ll do our best to help even though the warranty wasn’t originally issued to them.

It’s simple to use your warranty. First, give us a call (or email) and let us know what’s going on. We prioritize warranty-related concerns to get you back on the road quickly. We’ll look up your repair records (no need to hunt for paperwork; we keep detailed records on our end) and confirm the issue is covered. From there, we’ll schedule a time for you to bring the vehicle in so we can fix the problem promptly. (If you’ve moved away or are traveling, just let us know so we can coordinate with a partner shop as needed, as described in our next FAQ.) The key is to contact us first and we’ll guide you through the process start to finish, hassle-free.

While our warranty is comprehensive, there are a few exceptions it doesn’t cover. All covered in our warranty exclusions section. We believe in being upfront about these limitations so there are no surprises. Essentially, if something goes wrong due to our repair or the parts we provided, you are covered. Issues outside of that (like accidents, misuse, or unrelated failures) would be outside the warranty scope.

Yes. All warranty diagnostics and repairs must be performed at a Bavarian Auto Repair location, and coverage applies only when you bring your vehicle to our shop. Our warranty is administered and fulfilled in-house by the team that knows your car and maintains complete service records. If the vehicle is not here, we cannot provide warranty service. If you are out of the area, it is your responsibility to arrange transportation or towing to our location. We do not coordinate, authorize, or reimburse warranty work at other shops, and repairs performed elsewhere or attempted yourself are not covered. Please call us to schedule a warranty inspection so we can verify the concern, document findings with photos, explain next steps, and complete any covered work to our quality standards.
